Nuggets!
I originally started making these little guys as part of a college business project, but they got such great feedback and I enjoyed them so much that I continued making/selling them!
I will be creating even more different designs, and hope to have them up on Etsy sometime soon!
Also, peeks at things to come!
Reposting this one because I was a little hasty to post originally and have made some changes since then.
This is the final image, after adjustments, that was presented at my grad show.
spurredbyboredom: Hi, I really love this tumblr and all your artwork. Out of curiosity, how did you develop this style? Did you set out wanting to make stuff looking like this or was it just your natural style?
Thank you!
My style is honestly just a product of drawing in a way that feels natural to me. There’s such a concern among aspiring artists about creating a certain “style” for themselves, but it really has to happen organically. Trying to emulate someone else’s way of drawing will just end up looking and feeling contrived (not to mention piss people off!).
Just draw a LOT and be inspired by everything and everyone around you, and it’ll come naturally!
Finally getting a chance to just do some sketching for fun again!
Definitely rusty, but enjoying it.
My illustration for today’s cover of the Arts & Life section of The National Post!
First post-grad illustration job; I’m pretty excited about this.
Thursday night was the Sheridan Illustration 2012 Grad Show! We had a great turnout and lots of positive response. More pictures to come!

Also, a helpful little studio decoration.
One last year-end painting to finish! Just a small peek for now.
