I recently had the pleasure of working with the Toronto-based brand design firm Creative Equity Partners on a logo for Gitta’s Race, a charity run that raises money for Parkinson’s Disease research at North York General Hospital. This portrait is of Gitta, the founder’s mother and race’s namesake, and was used in the logo/promotional material for the charity. The race was held on May 4, 2013 and raised over $60,000!

I was too tired to do real work last night, so instead I coloured a sketch before bed.

A little drawing I’m working on today. I want to take more of my rough drawings and sketches to some sort of ‘finished’ state - more experimentation with finishing techniques never hurts and it comes with none of the pressure of client work!

Your art is so lovely! What software do you use to colour it and do you use a tablet? Also, on average, how much do you charge for commissions. Much love <3

Thank you! I mostly use Photoshop to colour my work, and a combination of traditional (pencil, ink, pen) and digital for the linework.

My price for a commission would really depend on the detail and complexity of the work requested! To be honest I don’t take on all that much commission work so I don’t have a current price list, but if you have something in mind, let me know and I’ll give you a rough estimate!
